A Poem by The Purple Kazoo
"

i know it sounds very strange...but i have always been jealous of the way squirrels run. they're so damn graceful--how do they do it?

"

have you ever studied

a squirrel running?

sprinting across the yard

from an unknown life-threatening danger,

knifing through the air

because its life does depend on it.

muscles working in perfect harmony,

long leaping strides,

tail dutifully tracing each arc.

oh to run like a squirrel
