No Preservatives AddedA Poem by Pooja PatelA poem about a failed relationship. We like peas in a pod. Inseparable We were raw. Lost in the vegetable gardens of summer. Budding in the moment. Slowly ripening with uncertainty. What if we were to grow apart? And then came life. A cold, Winter breeze. I could feel your heart, green with envy and neglect, no longer connected to mine. For miles and miles of poison ivy had come between us. Like peas in a pod. We’ve been plucked. Lost amidst a bowl of pea soup. Yuck!
