YellowA Poem by Pooja PatelA piece about my sister, childhood, and innocence. Photographer: Bhavina PatelI watch you through a Canon lens. Little polkadot dress, your bright balloons wrestling with the wind, pure perfection to me. At first you're apprehensive to smile but give in anyways with a wide, toothy grin, cheeks rosy from within, as blades of slender grass tickle your feet. And then you dance an innocent number across marsh mellow fields, imaginary rainbows, prancing from cloud to cloud. And I, a prisoner to reality held captive by my own mind watch you in fixated envy. Through a Canon lens I pray you never let go. © 2017 Pooja PatelAuthor's Note
