It Came Upon a Midnight FearA Poem by The Refined PoetThe day culminated in feelings of relief. I endured pain, trauma, and grief. The sun has set on the day's toils. The moon appears brighter with the absence of noise. I lay in bed saturated by comfort and rest. Finally laying my head on hope's breast. Then at midnight it all began; Fear and dread of the new day set in. © 2012 The Refined Poet. All rights reserved.
