Making a poem

Sometimes solitude is very beautiful.

Your thoughts tempt my silence,
urge my voice to sing
when it isn't even brave enough
to speak,
but guilty am I
as I simply sip my tea,
poetry was a story
shaping in clouds
running after each other,
everything sweet I prefer
is bitter at the end,
so at least I shall savour
till it lasts
and make a poem
you'd never come to read,
I keep doors locked anyways,
so this story shall be all mine,
for me to smile at least.

I love solitude, especially when I am writing.... too many voices make it difficult....one's brain needs to quiet down to pen...and I think it's great that you prefer not share this unfinished poem...keep it to yourself..keep drinking your tea...it's soothing....and then some day...re-read it and maybe you will come to share it...even if it's dark and gloomy..bitter poems are fine...as long as it makes you smile that is what counts.....good luck!
