Some days rain makes way between those seasons we got too accustomed with, be it their heat or cold, catching us off guard.
The dawn woke today with its tears streaming down the window panes,
still under a blanket of clouds, the hesitant sun stretches over its arcs;
there isn't radiance in its rays today
the kind that'd squint your eyes shut,
but warm nonetheless, as if empathetic for once
for those who shelter under its shine,
their bowed heads turned up unlikely today, with concern,
though it no more is a scarce possibility of the season going awry,
making it an even more of a worry.
It strikes me with a meek sense of sensitivity of this revelation of the day,
perhaps, its venting, letting its guard down,
and I welcome this sight,
the greens are in glee, there is joy splashing in puddles and paper boats in rivulets snaking down the side of streets, all under this weather's grace,
The seasons have gone a bit wonky here as well. It will be abnormally hot one day and then it normal spring temp the next. It seems to have set itself right the last week or so and we are right where we should be for it being the beginning of June. Still plenty of rain but not too much so that is good.
I like most weather except the cold and snow of winter. Winter for me is void of color and depressing much like the temperatures that come with it where I live.
This is a great poem to show weather and it’s unpredictably. I love the rain on the window pain and the sun warm but not too hot. Great description throughout this poem.

I myself am not a fan of it, as much as an introvert I am, I still don't like to be cooped up in a pile of blankets, unable to do anything and waiting for the appricity of sun for a bit of salvation, winters are often eerily quiet and solemn, lonesome, no one streets or in the neighbourhood and since it doesn't snow here, it's even more unfair and dark. Sigh. I'm so much of a summer person, not caring of the fact that I might just get scorched lol.
I hope the weather you are having there is as merry as the aftermath of rain when everything about nature becomes cleansed, light, softly sunlit and beautiful. Seasons tend to become incredulous just as our human moods I guess, it's all fun unless a storm breaks out and the plates begin to shake...then it's angry, for sure.
I'm so grateful for these heartfelt review PB, I have learnt of your nature loving spirit through your lovely poems and I'm happy you felt this poem. Sending you lots of love, it means a lot to me for always being there ❤️

The weather yesterday was beautiful. It was 80 degrees ferh and sunny. I actually had an extra day off work and I went shopping. I went to a place that carries redken shampoo that I use and got my Clinique face stuff I needed, then to another store to get new pillows, grocery shopping and to a store to get toilet paper cause it’s cheaper than the grocery store. Planted some mint in a pot that I bought for my mom and a couple new plants as well in the ground. It felt good to have the heat of the sun on my sling and the dirt on my fingers. I love being outside with the plants and flowers.

Winters here are unpleasant. It’s cold and snowy. I’d rather have the cold rain over snow any day. I tend to need alone time but the winter is daunting and I can’t stand staying inside so much. I work a lot so I have to go out to go to work but many times I will only go to and from work which makes me a little depressed and I feel like a wilted house plant. Now all the other seasons I adore. The spring with its new life, summer with its hot sun and colors and fall with cooler temp and changing of the leaves.

The visual detail in this beautifully penned write is stunning, dear P. V... Weather world wide has diverted from its usual course. It is almost July in Ireland and looking out the window one would think it was late October/November weather. It's raining, very cold, and there's quite a wind blowing outside also. The little flowers will be shredded by morning! You have captured the unpredictability of weather superbly in this poem, dear poetess. I don't think it's global warming at all, but I do believe that all the garbage left in space by space ships and rockets sent from earth needs to be cleaned up somehow and perhaps, then we will have our normal weather back again? Hope your weather is just how you like it for the weekend, dear poetess. Enjoy! Lovely work! Thank you for sharing, dear P. V...

It's too hot in summers, too rainy in monsoon and winters here are short. It rained yesterday as July makes way, monsoon is on time, it's fragrant and pleasant, wishing you warmth at your place my dear friend. Receiving these reviews from you have been a delight this morning for me, grateful for these lovely words my friend ❤️

This is the exact situation at my place. After days and days of scorching heat, the rain surprises you as if it heard you pray. It is so delighting the smell of the mud when the rain starts pouring. But the humidity as the result of the uncalled pouring can be so irritating. You capture the delight and the concern so flawlessly in your poem. Beautiful lines, dear Muskaan.
By the way, the weather is lovely here. Hope you have a pleasant weather there too :)

I can tell how delightful of a relief and joy rain brings, often humidity weighing the air, the best thing for me about an uncalled for rain is to boil up some tea and stare over the view the rain leaves behind which is what earned me this idea. I'm glad you felt and hope there is more of joyful rain showers ahead these couple months, and also hoping for a soothing weather here soon, ah...
Very grateful for this sweet review dear Sameeksha, glad to see you here and looking forward to your writings! Sending you love and joy ❤️

It is my pleasure, dear Muskaan! Sending you love and joy too ❤️
Let me begin by complimenting you on the first lines where the sun is still kind of asleep in a blanket of clouds. Also, the 2nd verse where you describe the mellowed sunshine that doesn't scorch but provides rest and comfort. Really beautiful writing there. It's so effortless and good.
Pouring uncalled for....I related to this poem at multiple levels. Sometimes, such rain brings delight and at other times, dismay. Your words took me to both places. As the rain, so the events in our life, that are sometimes as sudden as rain, good or bad. So it was lovely to relate to that.
What I loved most about the poem was the description of the rain. It's high summer here and we are at the end of our tether so your rainy burst of words came as a very delightful surprise! This was indeed a pelting that felt very pleasant And A Pouring Called For! It was a treat to read all the lovely rain imagery.
Loved this poem, absolutely! Keep writing, my friend.

Your review reminds me of the hypocrisy of my mood, how I decide for sure I will dance into the pouring rain and forget about witnessing it like a bystander but rather be a part of it, maybe shed my own dismay with it while being a wild mess, yet every time it rained my feet would stay rooted, tied of the predicament of the promise made to self, what dilemma that is...its strange sometimes, the black clouds shrouding one sudden morning in the middle of an arid weather, the excitement that change brings and then the joy of relief for keeping the heat at bay for a while. I believe monsoon shall arrive in time here, at the middle of June as today I have witnessed dark clouds after a few weeks of writing this piece, I might as well have manifested it.
I'm ever so overjoyed to see how deeply you related with this poem I actually wrote in the form of a prose, sorta like a story but I narrowed it down. I think whenever rain comes, it taps into our existing emotions, be it of joy or sorrow and we play along with it. I love how relatable it all becomes.
I'm so grateful for this review Divya, sending you a lot of love and hugs ❤️
