Beyond skin

And he was the only one who looked at her, past her silk-like skin, into the rough patches of her soul.

Slowly do secrets slip
from her satin guise
to her scars beneath,
a few still fresh
stealing her breath
at the brush of his fingertips,
but softly her aches ease
her knots loosen,
as his sweet embrace lifts her
off the ground, its gravity
the void and its insanity,
into his empty arms
fitting her bare being,
piecing the puzzle perfectly.

Wonderful lines there Muskaan. The poem opens with such beauty, moving on to the lovers' touch and embrace and the completing of the puzzle. The lover's effect is described in totality and you do it with a lot of very compelling words.

It makes me think of the reaching of a destination, the attaining of Nirvana and the sunset walk of two loved up souls.

Love, pure, genuine, unconditional love heals scars from the past so no trace remains, hiding secrets best not known to a new love. When two souls become one, they both enjoy heaven here on earth, loosening pent up feelings, fears, anxiety and they bare their hearts, minds, bodies, spirits to each other.
