Loved the opening. Shadows, hopeful, dancing to the music of memories. I like the innocence of hope reflected in them. Somewhere deep down, we forever long for the magic to repeat itself again.
The following lines mention the spark, the scent of passion that still lives on, though the hearts be cold. There's always the pull, the yearning to re-live that love.
"We shall drape those memories on these nights prolonged,
of love"
~ This is a superb line. Draping memories on the long and lonely nights. Seems such a beautiful thought, it brings on instant warmth to just think of those days, when in reality all are but shadows.
I related to the poem only too well, having felt every emotion you have written here.
Beautifully written, Muskaan.

'draping memories on prolonged nights' wrapped in the blanket of love that once provided warmth. Now, we wake up only to realize that it has turned into sheer cloth which no longer provides that comfort and warmth. 'Taking a leap and without telling any we'll weep'...so deep and beautifully melancholic write, Muskaan. The emotions in your words hit different. This is a masterpiece and I loved it, my friend!
Dancing to the music of memories can be either an uplifting event or a sad event depending on the memories. Though love remains, it has burned out now and the ashes which remain are cold. Eyes which once sparkled with the light of love are now unseeing, lifeless and dull. Wow! The shadows of the past are haunting like spectres from the grave where love is buried. I love how you embroider your feelings in neutral threads. There is no bad feeling with regard to the past, but a feeling that though no more, that love is still treasured beyond what words can impart. A gripping compelling write. Thank you for sharing, dear P.V.

I'm an ardent lover hidden within the deep confines of my maturity, a lover of poetry and expressing deep meanings in the most mundane observations.
Clearing out the mist crowding my soul and peekin.. more..
