Writer's LamentA Poem by Amelia LawrenceMy ode to myselfYou cannot write worth a damn, and sometimes your characters come off disjointedly speaking the same nuances reign over and over the pages of your texts.
Sometimes I say these things, alone, to myself. I must confess.
There is beauty in my irony, a debonair air in the way I think, but sometimes I put pen to paper, and my consciouness blinks, says things I wish it wouldn't. and changes the original idea. I lament my own broken heart, my writing, my original art. © 2009 Amelia LawrenceAuthor's Note
