Going AwayA Poem by theopenbooksometimes it's better to leave.Going Away I sing to
the night Stars my
listeners The moon my
spotlight And I wait
for the applause. But I turn
away to face The vast,
silvery garden laid before My mind
travels in sync with my gaze I wonder if
I’ll come back. Lovely dark
inky sky Gentle
breeze caressing my cheek A question-
why am I doing this? Why? But I know
I’ll go anyways. So I pick
up my bags and try to leave Tears slip
effortlessly I bundle my
thoughts; impossible to believe And unlock
the door to my forbidden freedom. © 2011 theopenbookReviews
