The Thief of Innocence

The Thief of Innocence

A Poem by theolivedove
"

Written June 27, 2015.

"
Syrupy sweet deceit drips from your lips like honey
The lock has been broken
The cage is open
"I won't hurt you"
I'm making snow angels in shattered glass when you find me
"Don't make promises you can't keep"
Crimson guilt stains your hands and I can't bleed for you anymore
You stole that from me

Your writing is powerful and emotional , make the reader wonder what lead you to write. I feel pain under the plain words here too
It's short but it feels there is much more

About
I knew I loved writing when I was 8 years old. I continued writing off and on as I grew up, and then life got messy. I lost my voice, so I'm trying to find myself again. more..
