FirestarterA Poem by theolivedoveWritten December 18, 2020.
Every bridge you've tried to cross
Has burned up at your feet The flames ignited by each promise You said that you would keep My skin seared by the hatred and spite, like acid rain It only ever ends for you when I'm left to lie in pain As I watch the embers float away and try my best to heal, The ashes of your love remain upon this battlefield.
