Christmas stomp elegy

Christmas stomp elegy

A Poem by T.H.

crowded lovingly, crowned

street kindred, blow-a-kiss,

hello-hello,

gas lights whispers gossips,

murmur, murmur,

in to an ear

of a Turkish delight princess;

you are going somewhere,

anywhere?

bells bells bells

(the city suddenly smoothly)

valse à trois temps heartily winsomely,

be my witness, young quixote,

i did remember how we waltzed

how we waltzed antebellum (oh!);

be my accomplice, young man,

celebrate life, if damned,

yet more, yet more,

(chests crush in flimsy glory

and for a pint of quench they cried,

if could, once, so)

sing (of me) sing (of you),

sing of us,

let me swing, golden-like

in baroque velvety,

a memory, me-you, this;

new darling, to see is all i beg,

give eye to how i used to,

in me, imbedded, is me --

a foundling on days like this,

endlessly, this moment:

forwardly, enloved.
