SMILE ALWAYSA Poem by Pushkar PrabhatWhy so serious?
====SMILE ALWAYS====
copyright@pushkar prabhat, 2014 Look, LOOK AT THIS. See these skewed, crooked, chaotic lines. Yes, these broken lines on barren lands; These parabolas and hyperbolae of disgust. Ha ha ha! You seem scared. COME boy, come. LET me tell, you a story..... Once upon a time, There lived a common man. So common, almost invisible. Invisible to people. Oblivious to opportunities. Unknown to luck. But. He smiled: Day and night. Summers and winters. Always. So, Nobody cared. And he, managed to secure an existence. But, with routine rejections, And constant kicking around, Depression compromised his smile. And though, he was common but not weak. They said: keep going through hell. He maintained pace. They said: accept what comes. He opened his heart. They said: smile always. He, tried: He pushed his cheeks up, Also with thumbs. He stretched his lips, Also with fingers. He used memories, Tv, books, tales and jokes. NOTHING. JUST AWKWARD LINES. the vertex then rose with anger. and with vaporising hope; His sanity sublimed. He took a knife, Sketched some lines and curves, And burying the sadness in those clefts; He sewed the smile in place. Now he smiled again, always. So, don't be scared. See, i am just a common man, Going through hell. But, with a smile, again, always. Ha ha ha ha ha.......
