Consume A DreamA Poem by Pushkar Prabhat
===Consume A Dream===
Copyright ©pushkar prabhat, 2014 In this fiction of a world, The only reality seems to be dreams. Dreamers! Think again. We are actually consumers of dreams. This is a vicious cycle. It starts as early as you wont remember. Even you were conceived and raised as a dream, To be just another dreamy consumer. Trust me, that first toy you cried for, Those tears didn't come from within. That desperation for having that bar you saw on TV, Even that need didn't originate within. And it's not just about things. Fairies, monsters, god, religion, belief it's all a dream. In fact everything we see and live, is nothing, but a bought, rented dream. If not, tell me that the concept, Of caste, creed, race, colour came naturally to you. Tell me that the lies about success, purpose and money, Was not all voluntarily bought by you. Correct me if i am wrong and declare, That your principles of freedom is aboriginally yours. Ha! You can't even prove it to yourself, That your choices are genuinely yours! No, don't give me that don't care shrug, And don't make that face that you had no choice. Have you even tried to look beyond, look through what meets our eyes. Sir, FYI, ignorance is also and very much a choice. Realize, that your life is a dream, But that dream is not yours. And know that those dreams you create, Are induced by that consumed dreams of yours. So, stop consuming, create. Do not believe but reflect. Dream some virgin dreams, Go on, become a dreamy intellect. But then again, dont believe me blindly, I am just trying to sell you this dream of mine. Afterall, nobody knows the source, Those orginal dreamers are all beneath some shrine! ____________________________________________ © 2014 Pushkar PrabhatReviews
