How i am being the change for the security of women against sexual offences.

Staring at a pretty face,
Or ogling her bossoms,
Or mentally grabbing her handsome arse.
No, i dont do that.

Walking or when on vehicle,
Habitually turning back,
To look at any girl passing by.
No, i dont do that.

Though with friends i joke around,
But making uncomfortable comments,
On any one who meets our eye.
No, i dont do that.

I look, i talk, i hang around,
With every sex much alike.
But awkward remarks and offensive jokes.
No, i don't do that.

Chasing girls on cars and bikes?
Stopping someone's way by vice,
And calling it love and way of life?
No, i don't do that.

I stop my friends,
I confront strangers,
On thing small as demeaning songs.
You know i do that.

'My life is so boring!'
Think, if you must.
Social or anti social, things hurting my conscience.
No, i dont do that.

Everyday but in news,
Someone is raped, abused.
And here i am wondering,
How can anyone do that?

Less clothes? Loose morals? Deserve, this? Too sexy? So pretty?
This gives you the right to rape or apodyopsis?
Do i beat you up for your stupidity?
No, i don't do that.

Then how can this continue,
When i dont, neither i let you.
According to the paradox,
For our mothers, sisters,friends, lovers, wives and fellow humans,
I am, being the change, but are you?

Wonderful and much needed lines and thoughts. Our society needs something to hold on, an example may be. We need to wake up from this sleep. We just ignore such evil everyday in our life.
If we want a change then we need to be that change...

Very insightful write! It is very hard to review this but I will try.
Every segment of this write, you focused in few of the mental tortures a female needs to face at the cost of stepping out. Pretty much any country. People consider it takes up a notch in their egos, if they subjugate a women to this. Make everything a reason: their looks, clothes, way of life, way they walk or talk. Strong or weak, a new point to harass on. This is like a zap for all those who think they are being super cool but just a super tool.
Thanks for sharing. It's great that there are men.. and women .. Who stand up against this. A step towards the change. This is a poem of your own choice. Doesn't matter.

You nailed it with this last line. Those who have loose morals, sexy clothes, too pretty, etc. are someone's mother, sisters, friends, lovers wives and fellow humans and they do deserve respect.
