You are that feeling that I get in between sleep and consciousness. It is an amazing, but traumatically confusing experience. A lucid dream. I am aware that I am dreaming, but have not yet grasp the ability to fully control my mind or actions. Then, I slowly drift into a midnight's slumber, where you still exist and we play like children. Hide and seek. I still have not found you.

An alarm clock is rude and dreadful. I throw my arm to the side with my eyes still shut, slapping at my nightstand desperately to turn off the obnoxious noise. I want to get back to you. It is impossible. The alarm clock continues to ring, signaling the time of my wake. Time is a lucid dream.

The final sentence said it all - to me. Quite true.

I love short work when it is well done and this was well done. In the minimum you have, you managed to pack it with emotion and create a powerful metaphor. Great job and keep posting
