You're My Mother (poem version)

You're My Mother (poem version)

A Poem by The Nameless
"

The poem version of a song I wrote for my mother

"

I'm sorry for every mistake I've made
And I'm sorry for everything I wish had changed
I'm sorry for all the things I thought was wrong

I'm sorry for all the thing's I've said
For the fights, the crimes that you'd rather forget
And I'm sorry that I forgot how much you gave me

I'm sorry that I don't spend enough time
To build the love that binds
Us together in times of trial

I'm sorry for all the times I've left
You alone to yourself to do
The few little things that make you happy

I know that there's no way to repay
Nothing I can ever say
But I guess enough's for me to stay

You're my mother
And there's no one that I'd rather
Choose to tell my stories to
Because I know you're true

You're my mother
I can always come to you
And know you'd never leave me too
Because I know you're true
