Zero Axis

Zero Axis

A Poem by thenakedverse

We sleep before alarms to which we wake,

Finding routine in coffee and an evening glass of wine.

We mount our clocks and calendars,

Circling in red the dates we mean not to forget.

Watches track the days and time upon our wrists,

Reminding us of need for extra hour.

We walk our days with lists of plans,

Charting progress as we go,

And organize our lives by boxes checked.

We calculate our fate and classify our cause

Knowing that we walk upon our greatest threat "

An axis to which our man-made course means nothing.

I really enjoyed reading verse...so simple yet profound...how as humans we can be robotic, at times...chained to our schedule. Awesome write.
