Words

A Poem by thenakedverse

A bullet flies as quickly as a scribble.

Ink bleeds as fast as blood.

The pen meets paper like a shell to skin.

But fingers have no safety latch, no choke to contain their release.

Semi-automatic words and trigger-happy thumbs

Can massacre.

And Mark David Chapman opens Catcher in the Rye.

Honestly those last 3 lines are some of the coolest I've ever read.
