The harshness of Reality

The harshness of Reality

A Poem by Fictionstorie

Ever since I was a child
I heard only one phrase
"The Real world is Harsh,
so Prepare for pain."

I always shook my head at this,
Surely it cannot be true.
I have seen many Acts of Kindness,
surely there will be more.

Now I realize my mistakes,
The world is filled with hate,
No matter how hard I try,
there will always bloodshed.

But now I reach to you,
In a state of frantic confusion,
Surely you cannot all be,
filled with hate.

I wish for a world
Where Love is real,
Not a Dream to be
portrayed in books,
not a fairy tale.

Now come along,
and Help me create a world,
where all are equal
but none the same.
