I Was There

I Was There

A Poem by Scott Lynn

I was there....
when it all came crashing down around us.
When everything became like it is,
I was there.

I was there....
when you burned your bridges.
When you became king of the lands of desolation and emptiness,
I was there.

I was there....
when you said nothing mattered anymore.
When you asked me to live for you,
I was there.

I was there....
when you put the gun to your head.
When you pulled the trigger,
I was there.

I was there when the strength of men failed.

I really like this Scott... It makes me think of Lord Of The Rings a little, but that might just be due to the fact that I just watch the first two.

I liked the repeatative-ness that it had.. I think it'd be amzing done as spoken word. :]
