Too Human

Too Human

A Poem by Scott Lynn
"

A poem about who I am, in comparison to being human.

"

I often wonder who I am
in context to this world.
Am I what is needed?
A character no one else is playing,
or one that it seems everyone has made?

On rainy days and in many ways
I've thought about it all.
And the conclusion to which I've arrived
seems to show me that I am something that survives,
and lets me know who and what I am.

I am Hope
I am Faith
I am Reason and Love and Compassion.
I am Anger, Rage and Guilt.
I am Fallible
I am Despair
I am Loyal, Friendly, the hand that reaches down.
I am Regret, Shame, and Mockery.

I am Human,
and I'm okay.

"So why if we can make the plans and just not find the time? Don't let the daydreams die."
