My Guardian Angel

It's a love poem I wrote a couple years ago for my girlfriend at the time. Felt like sharing it.

My life was a corpse,
a lifeless shell,
until you dragged me out of Hell.

After I woke from my sleep,
I found you.
In your arms, 
a spark turns to a fire.
my life anew.

take my body, so battered by my demons,
so cold and bruised.
Mend my wounds,
make your essence my tourniquet.

Your wings made of stars
as constellations glow in your eyes
while i wear my meaningless scars 
as my heart overflows with lies.
Until you breathed into my lungs,
and bestowed upon my wretched self a purpose,
a life.

Yourlight bathes me in the perfection,
radiating the aura of your being.
it erases the flaws in my wretched existence
only to leave me to linger in silent beauty.

Your voice fell upon me like a silent rain,
Oh, how it quenched my thirst for peace
and relieved my pain;
cleansing me of my impurities.

Angel, never abandon me
but spare me from agony.
and silence the silent cries of pain within me
May you end the endless pain within,
and mend the wounds that constantly bleed,
For I run to you in my times of tradegy.

Only you can keep me stable,
If I hold on to the little faith
that my heart merely contains.
So when my soul embarks,
may I then be in your embrace.
