You

You

A Poem by TheLovestruckPoet

You move like the gentle tide at the hour of midnight
As the moon catches a glimpse of you with it’s soft and beautiful light.
It makes your hair glisten in its glow
and your eyes only to bring it’s light in the darkness of mine.
You turn around slowly
and the moon falls to your back
All the stars cling to you
and yet you remain pure and unattached.
I drink in the sight of you as If I will soon be near my demise,
And I finally breathe and take solace in
Your voice that flows through me like the soft wind
and forever gives me life.
And I am driven to my knees on this this dry and barren ground
As my heart pounds louder than Heaven's great drums,
and races even quicker than sound.
My eyes are drawn to only you, they caress your perfect frame.
Until my heart finally rests, may it only whisper your name.
