Entirely UnfathomableA Poem by Andrea Greeneit was a moment okThe final note echoes The room reverberating A closing sonorous melody Still lingering, in wisps of recollection In the auditorium That is now full of life and roaring applause And I feel ever so clearly The brightest lights shining in my eyes The people next to me standing still Thinking the same thoughts as I am At the same pace We are one, all at once, Eyes nearly closed against the lights Fully submerged in this one moment And I'm tired and warm and still humming with energy So are they, all of them I'm not alone And the thunder of each clap pours into my open chest Like a brand-new heartbeat And I'm in love with the triumph And whatever else this moment is Surrounded by not quite friends, Not quite family, But we're something, And the world is on our side for once, And I don't understand what I'm feeling But whatever it is It's more than enough.
