![]() Every StarA Poem by Andrea Greene![]() I want to sing from the rooftops, so instead off breaking a limb by doing that I'm just going to write. Also, I am thieving the statements of my beloved boyfriend and turning them into a poem! Sorry!![]() That brings such calm to his heart He's got little flickers of endearing oddity And every little thing about him Like the gentleness in his voice when he's being romantic Or the soft rumble in his chest when he sings His smiles, soft and bright and everything in between Even his admittedly endearing hatred of mosquitos, Is like another star in the sky And they glow, each to their own, So brightly and beautifully, And together make up a million constellations that neither of us can name. Some people only can fall in love with certain things about people And take to stealing stars from the sky But what good is a collection of stars If there's nothing to hold them together, to preserve their glow? And what beauty is there in a night sky With missing stars? And so I am forever falling up, into the sky, Hopelessly in love with every star Everything about you And it is falling in love with everything you are That makes the world, with this night-sky analogy So bright, and beautiful, and vast, And everlasting. I'm totally not adding any other secret message in white, why would I do that? Anyways, dear heart, I love you to the moon and back and beyond, and to a million other infinities of poems I've not yet written. I promise I shall love you for evermore. I'm also going to stop talking.
