Unrequited Love

Unrequited Love

A Poem by diksha

His hands slid along my back,

I wanted to croon the rhythm of his breath,

His pretty disguise spoke words he never meant,

His blue eyes hid all the lies,

In my black and white world,

he was the grey masterpiece,

I am not going to lie to you,

I fell for him time and time again,

He was the rose whose thorns made me bleed,

The sun whose warmth made me burn,

I let the rain fall on my face,

Hoping it would camouflage my tears.
