Do You Believe In True Love?A Poem by RyanLove can be a scary thing...
I've always believed in true love, love at first sight, all of the sappy, romantic things you read about in books. It always seemed so magical to me, seeing someone for the first time, and thinking 'yeah, that's the person I was meant to be with'. No one ever wonders what happens if it goes wrong.
Because it does, and it can. It can go so, so wrong. It will destroy you, emotionally, physically, any way you can think of. Your heart will scream, your eyes will burn every time you see anything that remotely reminds you of them, it'll be ruined, you can barely see anything the same way without wanting to throw up. Blood drips from every wound they carved into you, every hurtful word, the endless silence, you won't know anything but the crushing emptiness of the place they used to be, knowing you'll never get them back again. But it was your fault. You pushed them away. You made this happen to yourself, don't blame them, it was you. You just didn't realize how bad it would hurt. After all, you only have one true love. © 2018 Ryan |
