Dissuades even the noble Keeps the Other Behind invisible barriers Beyond reach of the obvious Connection Like rejecting a gift For distaste of its ribbons and bows Illusory wrapping Falls away in the deeper inspection That reveals precious remnants Hope, faith, love, longing Inside lay a seed Dormant and waiting For dignity to rain down Warmed by shining peace Pushing through the barrier Unfolding its flower Connecting Its sublime elegance undoubtedly Real © 2014 J.
