Leaves in Autumn

Leaves in Autumn

A Poem by J. Land
"

A poem

"
Leaves in Autumn show
Their brightest colors
Just before dying

Released one by one
Each falls aloft
On gentle winds

Or stripped away in tempests
Once secure branches lose hold
Send them hurtling into the dark

Once settled on the earth
They nourish the tree that remains
Nurture the saplings yet unborn

The circle of life, nicely written. I got say, I know you said you had a back log, either that or you're very prolific. It seems I write down one of your pieces to read later, and then another one pops up on my feed. The only thing I noticed worth mentioning (could be intentional) the three repetitive 'O's' in the middle.

No, I don't think they detract from it at all, just an observation.

It's a good demonstration of the circle of life, and I really liked the way you phrased things. It made a sort of visual which was quite pleasant :)

Thank you.
Poems, stories and essays about the cycle of life are the ones I love to read since I was a child. This poem reminds me of the story of "The Last Leaf" among others. I love this poem. :)

You're welcome.
It is so pretty to watch autumn leaves fall. You did a nice display of them falling and decaying to help the trees that are there and that will soon be there.

Good Job

You can gain from what you've lost because, in the end, it's all a cycle. it's all cause and effect. It's all part of life.

Beautiful.

Thank you for being kind.
I will never understand how some people are gifted with the ability to come up with such beautiful words! I'm so jealous; great job! :)
