Ch. 43 The Toy Store

Johnny drives me the next morning

to work.

I work at a toy store.

My boss sucks

and there are always

snot nosed, little kids everywhere.

But I get to play with

all the Nerf guns.

And I get discounts on presents

for my little cousins.

And Charlotte used to work 

right across the street.

I haven't been there 

in a while because I've

been on vacation

for the past three weeks.

It feels good though

to be going back.

Work

is always a good place

to get my mind off things.

They welcome me back

with a few hellos

and some nice to see ya's.

They don't know

why I've been gone.

At least,

most of them don't.
