Ch. 36 Charlotte and Will

People forget

and people never realize

that Charlotte and Will 

were a couple.

No one believed me

whenever I said they were.

The two of them in love

in between all the fighting,

and the rude comments,

and the insults.

It's a hard thing to picture.

But it was true

despite it all.

They didn't like each other when they first met.

They only tolerated each other

because I made them.

They didn't like each other

because they were so alike.

They became friends

after Mary Elizabeth Philips

made fun of Charlotte

and made her cry.

I had been sick that day,

but somehow,

Will made it all better.

They became best friends

when Charlotte taught Will

how to shoot a rifle.

They began dating

on New Year's Eve

when I kissed some boy I had been dating

and they kissed each other.

They broke up

when my car

collided

with a pickup truck.
