Ch. 31 More of the Wrong Things

Will looks through the fridge

like usual.

Then he gets upset

because there's no food.

I remind him that

he ate it all yesterday.

I ask him about the party

since I promised Johnny I'd go.

Parties are not things

I like to face alone.

Will groans.

I know he doesn't want to.

Neither of us like parties.

Charlotte was the one

that would beg us to go.

I'm worried he might say no.

I almost tell him never mind

but he beats me to it

with a surprising,

"Sure."

I'm surprised

and shocked

and think he might be joking.

But then he says,

"I think it might be good for you."
