Urban Jungle

Urban Jungle

A Poem by thejohnphenomenon

hearts beat "desperate"

horrid minds desolate

intricate binds seated high

atop the steel cities

above real pities that fly

shoulders bruised

the befallen weight so crude

to the sinners come the saints

screams of valor so faint

tainted lore to the brim with fake paint

to the victor go the spoils

to the angels go the turmoil

foiled once again

red-handed rebels with no friends

blood-stained gravel coiling around the bend

it doesn't end
