Pastel Coloured RoomsA Poem by Jared Zilic
It's not a question of where or when
It's more of a question of how've we been So close your eyes and count to ten Then imagine these words written in pen Rooms and corridors await some of us When people start wondering what's all the fuss All we want is to scream and to cuss But in the hallways our voices stay hushed There's a color for each of us, some yellow some green Some to keep us normal and others stay lean Energy and sadness aren't enough to keep us clean As if nobody seems to understand what we mean But look to the sky the stars won't burn out At least not before us, for that there's no doubt So share a hug share a smile, kiss from your mouth Your words are like lifesavers, and I'll never run out -M © 2016 Jared ZilicFeatured Review
