A Short Lesson in Latin

A Short Lesson in Latin

A Poem by Ashe Conten

I'm fine

I found in a book somewhere
That "sui" means of one's self
And "cida" means killer

Nice with the brevity. Totally dig the fact that the latin warps you to ancient Rome or a Catholic service somewhere. Latin for me is a 'dead' language...irony. First line is almost unneccessary as it restates the title. It makes the discovery casual. The topic is less than to most. Nice work.

I was worried no one would get the "dead language" irony.

That was surprisingly short and still had an impact. Well done.
