How dare I move even an inch When all around me is a graveyard Here laid to rest, love lost and Friendships
Buried, still dressed in robes of hope I am so cold......
So alone.......... Surrounded by ghosts
Still unable and never once able to hold Haunted by the past
Vision to full of what was to see what could be
The times when I have smiled They haunt me out from the photographs The times when I was young They haunt me out from the mirror The times when I was loved They haunt me.................... ........each .........
This was an eerie verse. I love the imagery that you incorporate:
"Here laid to rest, love lost and friendships
Buried, still dressed in robes of hope"
You create the lost of friendships and a haunting past that continues to make itself your present and future. Pasts make us who we are today. Yet taunting pasts come to laugh quietly in a mocking tone in one's ear, but we should remind our past of the future and keep them in their place.
Beautiful, haunting verse. Maika'i no (good job) ^^

I enjoyed the tone of this one, effective, with the perfect mood. Love the imagery of : "still dressed in robes of hope"... It's like clinging to a remnant of a former life, a former self... a refusal to let go, very haunting indeed, good job!

When McBeth is acclaimed 'Thane Of Cawdor' he asks 'Why dress me in borowed robes' Meaning the current Thane of Cawdor was still alive so how could McBeth become such, unknowing that he had been killed. I changed the meaning and adapted it for this work. Best to be honest. Thank you, I appreciate a review from one as talented as your self.
