I am losing you

For someone, back in the day even before 'Come what may' was birthed. Loved always, loved eternally. The words still float on the deep sorrow that sometimes love just is not enough.

Could it be the power is fading

I sit here slumped in painful thought

You once gripped my hand

Now I strain to brush your finger tips

 

I am a victim to space and silence

I am a victim to my own foolish ideas of love

I will always be lonely without you

For the love I seek only exists in movies, fairy-tales and in your soul 

 

You are still in my life and dancing across my vision

All I am ever holding though is your photograph

Any laughs are drawn from the memories we share

With every secret tear of mine you seem washed further away

 

Is this in my mind

Is the fear of losing you

Causing me to lose you

Please come home

 

I am lost now in the vacuum between us

Endless seconds and days that pass like years

They remind me that I could not face life alone

That time has no value if it cant be spent on you

 

How much I miss you

How much I still crave you

Overpowers me each time I cradle your photo

Please tell me your coming home

Wonderfully written, for sure, but very sad!
Love isn't enough, more than sometimes. It’s almost like a teaser...it draws you in, making you feel like you can't live without it and then (jokes on you) the real work starts.

Nothing worse than unrequited love! Especially if you're close enough to see that person love another the way you dream they would love you. Such is life indeed...but in the same breathe you could be the person receiving that love. Sometimes bitter, sometimes sweet.
