That Moment

That Moment

A Poem by Sara Henry Heistand
"

I want this.

"

And I want you so hard,

you adventure

you dark heart

That moment we meet

it’s going to be

            of heat

And stopping it won’t make sense

A web of limbs and figurines

that will unleash this

fodder

          to ponder

You push this heat in me

that rolls

            Like a wave

                        through me

                        through you

and spreads thin

            a sweet jam

            a penance through me

to you

Flames will lick

            bruising skin

            soldered bones

We will melt paper

we will burn plastic.

About
It's been a while since I've written (over half a year?) and it's time for me to start up again. My life's back on the right track and now I have the time and the emotional capacity. So on with it. .. more..
