As she padded across the kitchen floor in Lou’s boxers, she pressed her stained fingertips to her slowing heart before gumming them clean again. She glanced out the window at the flayed marionette hanging from the lithe fingers of the old tree. She laughed, sinking as her hair pooled in arching commas onto the linoleum.

What an original and intriguing piece... You pulled me in with this cryptic scene, somewhere between a David Lynch film and French nouvelle vague stage play.... Very interesting...
