You Are

You Are

A Poem by TheHeartOfLife

As I wander through this field of emptiness
I caress beneath my skin, the warm breeze of the air
The rays of the setting sun giving me it's breakable warmth
Barefooted and empty handed, alone and isolated

I was cruising this waste of a nowhere land
Questing for someone who could probably hold my hand
For I was making my nowhere plans for nobody
Hoping that someday, I can see the sun clearly

Then suddenly for the very first time in my life
I felt someone's hand fondling this cold hands of mine
I looked at him saying no single word
He glanced at me and I knew he meant to me the world

Then I asked him who he is
But I was astounded for he just gave me a kiss
That kiss I knew I wanted to last
That kiss I knew made my heart beating so fast

This heart was startled for he just kissed me that way
But I don't care because that was what I providently prayed
Thank you for holding the weakest hand
Thank you for giving me the sweetest glance

And then I found myself gently opening my feeble eyes
My head laying on his shoulder and his hands' not letting go of mine
Now I know that this boy can unchain me from myself
Now I know that it's him and there is no one else
