Daydreaming On A RoofA Poem by Solis-Lopezjust what i'd be thinking of if i could sit under a tree surrounded by a field of pretty flowers with just me and my thoughts of someone...Daydreaming On A Roof...
I sit on the roof because it's a beautiful day As I sit on it, I bring out the book I figured would keep me company, since there's no one to share these moments with now. The book is intense, and I get sidetracked right when it's at its pinnacle of drama. I see what seems to be an endless field of flowers in front of me... why do they strike me as so odd suddenly? There's nothing especially interesting about them, they're what I used to call 'red paintbrushes', magnolias in front of me in the tree, and these white-rose-looking flowers that I've always adored. I look up and see an azure sky floating with milky white clouds, and I'm suddenly reminded of a day when I sat around... with you. "You going to remember me in fifteen years?" "Yeah, why not?" "Okay then, you promise to meet me in between that?" "Again, why not?" "Cool...you'd better not forget me though," "I wouldn't even bother trying," I pause. "You're too much of a good person to forget." If I'd only had the courage to say that, but that's why it's called daydreaming... that's where I do all of my daydreaming, on my roof. © 2008 Solis-LopezAuthor's Note
