I'm ArmedA Poem by Solis-Lopezyeah u'll seeI'm Armed
I sit here and I think of you An onslaught of emotions A barricade that tries to keep them out of me
I wished you the best of luck You wished the same for me And when we left each other's embrace I became armed
Armed against these emotions Though sometimes I let them in Let them in like stray animals And I feel these emotions And then when I feel that I'm done with feeling them I let them go wander free outside of my walls And if they come near me again before I want them to I will shoot them down
I'm a girl armed with a bow, a quiver full of arrows, And a rifle just in case those don't want to work © 2008 Solis-LopezAuthor's Note
