The Tongue

The Tongue

A Poem by Angelstears

Hello there, so nice to finally see you,

his eyes have told me you’re a beauty to behold;

attractive and enchanting, a stunning view.

His nose tells me that you are like a Rose

with the sugary scent of flowers surrounding you.

The senses are in overdrive, you can’t see what you’ve done.

His lips sing your highest praises;

you’re witty, energetic, intelligent and fun.

The fingers echo each other; all saying you’re a goddess

with silky smooth skin unblemished by the sun.

There’s a battle going on between heart and brain,

what, if we had to choose, is your best asset?

Another part of his leaps up to answer, who really should remain undercover.

His body and mind have all had their say,

it’s the real test now, let me discover.

Hello there, so nice to finally meet you,

I taste many exotic fruits from many a menu,

but you’re today’s special, so I’ll be tasting you.
