Mirror GirlA Poem by A. J. KingsleyA poem about self reflectionSometimes I wonder who people see when they look at me. I wonder, do they like whoever they're seeing? Their old perspectives cropped like my once long locks If that change was a shock how would they handle who I really am? Most days I don't really like the girl in the mirror. She's not how I remember being remembered. Dimpled cheeks now rarely show, sparkling eyes a muddied brown, lithe legs now round from eating to ignore the pain ... and yet some days I can't stop loving her. Stopping in every window just to smile at her again. Even on bad days I still love the girl in the mirror, I can only hope everyone else does too.
