Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by A. J. Kingsley
"

Something I wrote about a year ago

"
To be carried like a feather by a light summer's breeze.
To run from the sky and never tire
like a drop of water gliding on the ocean waves.
To be released from life and death and all manner of earthly tether
 reaching for something greater.
To climb until all mountains have been conquered.
To swim until the seas are all but unknown.
Reaching ever higher, farther, into more than man can know.
To live without heartbreak, or sadness, or gloom
knowing only what is true.
To have courage enough to never need fear
and sense enough to never be wronged by fault of my own or others.
To feel the wind in my hair, and the sun on my face
and the love of those dearest forever by my side.
