As my heart shatters....

Just the way I feel at this moment in time

With every passing moment of time

My heart breaks a little more

 

The feeling of true love is gone now

From this shattered heart

 

Of all the memories in my mind

To the things I wish to happen today

 

There is not much I can do

But wish for things to be wonderful

 

So now I wait for life to change

And love to find it's way to my heart

 

Each beat of my heart brings pain

At the hollow sound of emptiness

 

Soon it will forever stop beating

Then my life force will be forever gone

You can make love happen.. but it cld also come to you. I hvae fekt the same way you describe yourself to feel and it is hard to get out of this stage, but trust me. It will all get better soon:)

don't know if this poem is directly personifying yourself but if its about wanting love then I say wait for it to happen. Don't go looking for it or else dissapointment will occur frequently. If you are meant to find love then it will happen. if not then live your life with your friends and family. not having a soul mate doesn't mean you have to be alone. Sorry for the rant. I live by the same principals too. hope your doing fine though.

But none the less your poem skills are great. I don't know much about them but I can tell if one is from the heart. Or at least I think it is.
