Grandpa and Nana

Grandpa and Nana

A Poem by Claudia
"

This is for my grandparents who passed away last year.

"

I think about you both everyday in everything I do

So long has passed since those horrible nights

The littlest things make me think of you

I wish you were here again

My Grandpa was a man of few words

He was always taking pictures or videotaping

Everyone he loved and some birds

Thanks to him all of our holidays are preserved forever

My Nana was an inspiration

She always said what was on her mind

With a voice like hers she could lead a nation

Thanks to her we’ll always say what we mean

Both of you were so strong and brave

I thought you could do any thing

No one imagined seeing your graves

You were so special to us

I wish we had seen each other more

Our time was cut so short

That wish for now is a closed door

But one day we’ll be together again
