The Whisper

The Whisper

A Poem by Amant Cache
"

For my friend Kevin Reiser. It's neither fact, nor fiction- and one in the same. Each day is an emotional birthing...I hope this finds you in peace and harmony and that you see the beauty in your existence my friend. L

"

I haven’t written a single thought.

It’s been something like three weeks.

And from the depths of who knows where

a whisper of inspiration…

Suddenly

I can’t

stop

smiling.

The softness in his written word

sends shivers- no, waves of heat

coursing to heart, my soul…

from the top of my poet’s head, to the bottoms of my feet.

He says he is a healer. A dancer. A song.

Well call me healed and play a tune-

and watch me sing along…

He is peace made of flesh.

He is love personified.

This stranger I have yet to meet

has caught my bashful eye…

Never has a whisper

affected me so deeply.

Never has such a man

tempted me this way.

He could be my dark haired spider

and I’ll willingly lie in his web.

I’ll serve him meals of poetry

and quench his thirst with

unconditional

providential

Words flow into imagery. Layer upon layer grow, until the scene unfolds before my mind's eye. You speak from places in between. Powerful.

This is a lovely write that is sort of dark (with mystery).
Never has a whisper

affected me so deeply.

Never has such a man

tempted me this way.
I love, love, love these lines!
Great write!

A very mysterious and intriguing write... it is really full tender devotion for someone who has yet to enter your life... your back with a vengence.
